SAS (STEAM And Sustainability) is focused on the relevant expansion and integration of the standards students have been taught in the Sciences and Math. We believe and know that whole brain thinking is fundamental to creating sustainable solutions. Led with purpose and intent, we are responsive to student interest and questions. Our goal is to feed and fuel student enthusiasm.
Designed to push through linear (one-dimensional) thinking and explore multiple planes of understanding. Central to the program are hands-on experiences, activities that engage curiosity, and an opportunity to reconnect to traditional, holistic wisdom.
Students are encouraged to take home what they learn and consider how to integrate it in their daily routine. Moreover, utilizing the meaningful relationships fostered in the program, students work together to problem solve STEAM issues facing their community / city / world today.
